Hi all, I'm new to this site. I am a 67-year young guy from Birmingham UK, who retired a couple of years ago. I spend most of all my Summer days in my garden which along with photography are my hobbies. I have been thinking about trying something during in the Winter months to keep my hands busy. My father God rest his soul was an excellent artist, as I told Mark the other day he (my father) was fortunate enough to have a couple of his drawing exhibited in the Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery when he was a young man. I was never blessed with my father's skills, although it's something I have always aspired to. So I have finally drummed up the courage to have a go and with the help of Mark's tutorials I have had a little success, to be honest, I am delighted with the results I have achieved. Nothing in the same vein as Mark Crilley, but very acceptable indeed, I will certainly keep practising and hopefully keep improving. I did try another tutorial from someone else, I tried to draw a deer stag but it turned out to look more like a cow with antlers, it was a bad looking cow though lol. So it's literally back to the drawing board.
