So, I haven't drawn anything in a while. I just sat and drew for a bit and came up with this. caliber-mengsk.deviantart.com/art/Sketch-196112096Not super uber good, but pretty good overall. I did these two and one other one (not worth uploading) in about 45mins to an hour. See what I mean when I say that if I don't draw for a bit I tend to do a bit better? Oh, and just to note, I know the hands and feet need work. I just didn't feel like messing with them this time. Also, to note, no reference images either.

you have incredible coloring skills. O.O maybe for pencils you should do what i was told to do and do. study using visual reference for a while and then when you get the hang of it try doing original stuff and slowly ween yourself to being able to draw without reference. except for some poses. ^^

Crombie: I've always thought I was better at coloring. Yay for photoshop! (Been using it for like 10 years or more now XD) As far as the reference... I know I'm able to do great things with a reference. Especially if I put time into it. I mean, look at this one I did in charcoal back in college. fc00.deviantart.net/fs20/i/2007/253/7/f/still_life_2_by_Caliber_Mengsk.pngI just always feel weird when I use reference. I don't know why. PJCzar: It doesn't offend me at all. Getting better is the goal I am glad that it's not just me seeing that I'm getting better. I did say a long time ago that I stop for a few months some times, and it seems like I never stopped, cause it still seems to be much better. Anyway, yeah... I did use a reference on the last one, and only took an hour. Before I stopped drawing this last little bit, it would have taken several hours to get the same picture. So, I'm definitely speeding things up. My main goal is to either be able to create a beautiful pic in a short time (Like Mark can do) or to be able to animate a semi-decent pic in a short time (IE around 24 pics an hour to get a second or more of video an hour... or faster. XD) It'd be so awesome to be able to make my own homebrew animation. To bad my story/script writing sucks XD @all I think I may just make this my main art thread instead of posting a ton of new threads.

animation is where its at. if you wanna do a story line why not do a small animation based on that collab comic we all did here. The Tribe

Eh, I'd probably go more after the original Collab comic I did. It had more pages and is more comedy then action. O-o The tribe never really got anywhere really.

I really like in the first picture you drew, her body and how well it like looks with everything else. But the neck and head with it all looks a little strained, just saying...
