I'm new. Seems like a nice little community. I was pointed here by one of Mark Crilley's youtube videos, though I see that he's been inactive. Doesn't matter, it seems there is a small yet active community (and very polite!) here. I'm not an artist, but more of a doodler. I took art drawing classes in college about 20 years ago back when I was a photo major. I never had the patience or drive back then to draw or paint... hence why I loved photography (until I got burnt out). Drawing and illustration classes were a requirement at the time. I barely passed with those classes with "C"s. For money, I worked in the computer field. Eventually, I made more money as a PC & network tech part-time than a photographer. So, I dropped photography and dived head first into Information Technology. The rest, as you would say, is history. Fast-forward to present day. My step-daughter got into drawing manga. I gave her my old WACOM tablet I dug out of the garage, bought her art pencils, and drawing pads. It looked fun. Manga seems to be more relaxed than realistic drawing I was taught. Mark Crilley's youtube videos really caught my attention. His instructions are clear and well thought out. My goal one day is to put out a web-comic, but I still need to practice. Hey, I started a little over a week ago. Anyway, here's one sample of what I've done. I'll also post this drawing in the critique section. I would love some feedback.
