Collaboration: Character Poster :FINISHED:

Hey every one, lots of you i havent had the chance to discuss art with or work with so i thought we could do a simple Collaboration so we can say we have all worked together.
This Collaboration is very simple and only requires you to do one thing...

DRAW YOUR FAVORITE ORIGINAL CHARACTER.

we all have more then on original character, choose your favorite of them wether its the protagonist, the antagonist or just a side character you really loved, draw them head to toe standing or in a pose. color them in if you would like. also write down thier height in either feet/inches or meters/centimeters, this important for the final poster.

The final date for entry is the 15th of October. As participants submit art, I will save all the images and combine it so all of our characters will be standing (or posing) next to one another. This will then be uploaded only to this site so every one can save a copy and do what they want with it. including getting it printed, reposting on thier facebook or tumblr or what ever kids use these days.

Rules:
Final submission day is the 15th of October.
No nudity or anything vulgar.
Keep it PG13.
If its not an original character it will not be included in the final poster.
Must be in PNG format.
No "auras" (glowing color) around your character. (if its super important talk to me about it and ill see if we can work it out.)
Minimum of 72 pixels per inche should be good.
It does not need to be colored.

Legal:
By posting an image of your original character in this thread you are giving permission to others to post the final poster on thier respective image hosting account (deviantart, facebook, tumblr, etc.). All downloading and reuploading images of any character posted in this thread must be attributed to the original artist. This includes the final poster aswell.
If you do not agree to the above dont post your character in this thread.

Do you have some goal for file résolution, a minimum in pixel or DPI by size .

I wonder if there are someone crazy enough to draw a character in so high resolution to be able to draw each skin cells one by one .. ?? Maybe i can be the first and get a world record . lol

I want to join in but it might take some time to draw one and post since I'm in a new place and don't have access to a scanner yet.
Although I really would like more detail on a specific part.
The original character part; must the character be part of a story? What if my original character doesn't come from anywhere but it's just an original character, will it still be accepted? Or must it be part of an original/imaginary series?
I would gladly make one but it doesn't make sense if the character doesn't have a story in it.

Shadow Major - There is no set end date yet. but for now lets just say 2-3 weeks so every one has more then enough time. They can be as big or as small as you like just as long as you provide the characters hieght in feet/inches or meters/centimeters, and meet the 72 pixels per inche minimum.

Vortexblast - You make a good point with that question i had not thought about. I suppose any original character an artist makes that is thier favorite for what ever reasaon, whether thier role in a story or just for thier looks is just as much a reason to be allowed then not. In the end of this all i hope to achieve that effect that when we look at the final poster every one can connect a character with an artist. "oh that one must be his character"
Story or not OC will be accepted as long as it meets the requirements.

If you dont have a scanner maybe you can take picture in daylight with the flash turned off . It's what i do with my paints because they are too large for my tiny scanner .

In the event I don't make something new specifically for this (I'm in the middle of a couple of different projects that are unsuitable for the poster), here's an older piece you can include. Jimmy Nishimura, street racer and distant descendant of Set. Yes, he's heavily inspired by Kamina from Gurren Lagann.

How Tall is this character Dave? I need to know for when i put his next to the others they are all the right sizes compaired to one another. Aso is that the largest version of that file you have?

5'10" give or take. And I'd have to dig around for the original in order to scan any larger.

I will join in. But I am going to hold off on what character I will use in the poster. What I have been posting on my DA won't make it on to the poster (for obvious reasons) but I have a male OC that I have been wanting to draw. Just needed the right reason to do it.

However if everyone elses characters end up being dudes I may draw another one of my female OC's that I have been wanting to draw. I will let you know by the end of the week.

So I'm joining in officially. Here's my OC character.
He's called Gabriel LLOYD, pilot of the Archangel X-1 HITARCS Highly Tactical Robotic Combat Suit.
He's 178 centimetres tall or around 5'10" in imperial units.
He comes from a new original series from me that I have thought a bit for the last few days which is currently called Hypercore.
Sorry for the low quality of the image. I don't have a scanner yet so I photographed it.

Missed the PNG bit. Still pondering a new piece for this (especially since it looks like it might end up being a B&W project rather than color), though.

ETA: I should probably note that if I were to include my favorite OC (to the extent I can even pick a single favorite), I'd really only need to draw a boot...most of my favorite OCs are Transformers.

ETA2: Okay, I got one to draw. Given how many times I've drawn her, she definitely qualifies as a favorite, and I've never drawn her as she looked before becoming a giant robot. (Scanned into a robot body, ended up in another reality, restored to human form and gone all Super Sentai, nanotech clone of her ending up a mystic marble statue Pygmalion sort, etc...she has lots of Concept Thrash.) Rough pencils done, will work on it more tomorrow, need to decide if I want to go with ink lines alone or grayscale, but she won't be in full color.

Work in progress (hence not a PNG, I prefer to save as JPG).

Kath Anders is from a setting where robots took over as the dominant lifeform a few generations ago, and humanity was mostly wiped out. The remaining population is protected by one of the two main factions of robots, but they're not allowed to participate in their own defense...human-piloted mecha simply can't compete against self-aware robots. Kath and a few others are determined to prove this wrong, and are building a mech under the cover of creating kinetic sculpture (humans not brilliant enough to contribute scientifically are pretty much limited to art and being breeders).

It turns out...badly. Most of the group is killed, and only being scanned into a mechanical form saves Kath, which ironically gives her what she was looking for while denying it to her as well. This site has some really badly scanned ancient drawings of how she looked much later after a nanotech plague gave her full shapeshifting (under Kat/Kopikat), and she did eventually regain a human form. Some of her nanotech was blasted into another dimension and assembled into a new copy of her, some more recent pics of that can be found here.

Yeah, so I suppose she counts as a favorite OC, given how many thousands of words I've written involving her. And this is the first time I've drawn how she looked so early in her story.

I downloaded a photo-editing software called "Gimp2". I'm currently testing it out. If I got used to it, I think I'll do my character and post it here.

nice job on the coloring. one more thing is this character from any sort of comic or manga title you are doing?

Oh yeah. He's from my original series "Hybrid Signature" that I'm currently working on. He's the paladin of wisdom. He can produce unknown gaseous element from his body that he can ionize to turn it into plasma, like coating his fist with plasma.
