Thanks!

Actually, there's 9 books. Four recounting the Alia Rellapor saga, three standalone "Young Akiko" books, then Training Master and Pieces of Gax for "Teen Akiko".
---Dave, has read and reviewed 'em all.

I'm eagerly awaiting #10 (which I'm afraid Mark has said will be the last one.) Read em all too. Dan

If you like the books - you've gotta trace down the comics, or at least the comic collections.
The comic collections put all the stories together except one from #50.

"() I broke into Mark's computer and read the 10th too!"
Hope you liked it, Dave. :')
Actually I just started the interior illustrations for "Akiko and the Missing Misp" yesterday afternoon, so within a month or two we'll have a finished book. I'll be sure to post sneak peeks on my website...

I have bought and read all of the young reader books. I have some (not all) of the trades collecting the comic book stories. And I have every single comic that Akiko has ever appeared in. I'm eagerly awaiting #10 (which I'm afraid Mark has said will be the last one.) Whu--- No more ... Akiko? [glow=yellow,2,300]NOOOOOO!!!!!![/glow]The world has just become ... sadder.

Thanks for your post, Dan. Rest assured I don't believe we've seen the last of Akiko. Even if Random House decides not to do further books in the chapter book series I know Akiko and the gang will one day return in some form or another.
I appreciate your sentiment, though. It does sort of feel like the end of an era in a way...
Mark

Dan - how about another round robin? I still love what we came up with in the "War on Smoo" with the Tooglians and Fooglians. Mark has never seemed to mind fan stories - heck - he published Matthew's and mine! Oh, for those newer to Akiko - check out: akikocomic.seekinfinity.com/(The story I'm referring to above is "Things Change") AND - given Valentine's Day is tomorrow - Danstro's story "Hand in a Valentine, Melissa" is timely and appropriate!!!

Oh, for future reference, the system will let you ask a poll with more than 8 options. There's a "click this link for more options" bit.

Mark has never seemed to mind fan stories - heck - he published Matthew's and mine! Oh, for those newer to Akiko - check out: akikocomic.seekinfinity.com/(The story I'm referring to above is "Things Change") Man, we had a lot of fun doing those round robins! You could never tell what twists or turns those stories would take. I'd like to take another stab at one, but I just don't have the time to do one. At least not right now. But who knows what the future will bring? AND - given Valentine's Day is tomorrow - Danstro's story "Hand in a Valentine, Melissa" is timely and appropriate!!! A few years ago I was planning to write a sequel to that story. I had a basic idea of what the mystery was going to be and I knew how it was going to end. I had my cast all set, story ideas in place and a few surprise twists that would hopefully surprise readers. Unfortunately, I never got around to actually writing anything down. The story remains in my head, but there are certain things about it that I just can't remember! So, if I ever do write a sequel, it probably won't turn out quite the way I had it planned originally. ... but I still remember whodunnit! ;D
