I really love mark's watercolor style. It reminds me somewhat of Hayao Miyazaki's films. I just love the way he does it. And my question is, Mark, how can I improve my watercolor technique? - I have tried everything from the paints to pencils but my colors always turn out wrong. I would like to get a studio ghibli style watercolor look. But how can I go about it. Is there a certain way to do it?-

I always use a lot of water. I find it easier that way. Use of the the right kind of paper is essential too. You should use real watercoloringpaper, otherwise it will never work out. Hope this helps.(You could also buy a How to Watercolor book?)

Lots of water to start out with is a good idea because if it's too light you can always go over it again to make it the right color but practice makes perfect.
