Thanks for the post, Aaron! Glad you find my vids helpful, and wow, it's an honor that you think so highly of my art. HarperUK is doing their edition of Miki Falls in 2008, I wonder if that will make it any easier to find in Australia. In any case, thanks for the support; maybe I can do a 'how to do watercolor studio ghibli style' vid at some point. mark Hey Mark, I may be new to your work unlike Erika and carol, but I love your work just as much. Here in "the big island" called Australia it is very hard to find your books. So I have been on all your sites getting as much info as I can. I always use your work on deviantart and youtube as reference for my own work. Keep it up! I may only be 15 but without artists like you I would have struggled with the basics. I have noticed that you are one of the only Manga artists to post tutorials on the net. It really helps, Thanks. I hope to find your work here in the near future. But for now i'll keep practicing. Keep up the great work. You have made it on to my wall of the world's best manga artists. Bye for now, Aaron -Kazu-

Hi Mark!! I have read all your Akiko books and I'm currently reading The Training Master. I really enjoy this series. I have to do a grab bag book report on this book and need to fill the bag with items about the characters/plot of the story. I was wondering what items you would include in this bag?? I thought it would be an interesting thing for me to report to my teacher what the author himself would include.....hehehehehehe I'm thinking for sure a jar of jelly....but curious to see what items you would select. I need 1 object for the setting, 2 objects for the main characters, 2 objects for the plot of the story and 1 object for the conflict of the story! Finally, what inspired you to write the Akiko series. Do you know any "real" people that you fashioned the characters after.....or are they totally made up from your imagination?? Thank you and keep writing....I really love your books!! Jessiegurl

Hi Windchime! I think this thread should always be available for newcomers, so I'm glad you posted on it.
It's interesting how Youtube has brought me a whole new audience of people who know me only as a "Youtube video guy". But yes, I've worn a number of hats over the years, having started as a small press comic book creator, then becoming an author of juvenile fiction novels, and now as a manga creator. I've got at least one more manga series up my sleeve, so we'll have to wait until that's done to see if I change hats yet again! ^^

Hey guys! I'm a kid from Romania (the transylvanian side > ) I have a really crucial question... I'm GaaraOTS3 on Youtube. I have a manga of my own, and I can't think of a good way to make it a lil more popular. How do you make your manga available in shops and stuff? Please answer. Thanks ^^

Hey, Mark Crilley! I'm Charles. A bunch of friends and I want you to come to our school to talk about manga, anime, and drawing at our art club in Washington, but I didn't know how to contact. The art teacher at our school, Ms. Wells, was wondering if there was any cost for you to come over to our school. At least half of us are really excited to have a chance to meet you, and I am one of them. If you want to contact me, my email is gooddog483@gmail.com Thanks for listening. Charles
